As the Lead Consultant with Reimar Group, Carmen is one of the first people you will meet at Reimar. Her down to earth approach, enthusiasm and expertise will shape your client experience. In Carmen you will find a visionary, who has over a decade of consulting expertise. A data expert, with strong expertise in data collection and design, she is passionate about good data and using that as a basis of decision-making. Carmen brings extensive business planning expertise, feasibility forecasting, in-depth research and project evaluation, as well as financial skills from being a CPA. In particular Carmen, brings strong knowledge of the demographics of Ontario from her work as a market research analyst for a major Canadian retailer. She is an expert grant writer, having secured over $3.0M in the last 18 months for the organizations she works with.
She understands both the market research technical components of feasibility planning, as well as the financial metrics necessary to ensure business sustainability and success. She has completed projects from Asia to Latin America, with a focus on business and financial planning. Carmen founded Socent Magazine (www.thesocialentrepreneur.ca), a resource for practitioners of social enterprise in Canada, SME Gurus, an entrepreneurship platform and is the owner of several micro businesses.

Social Enterprise & Community Building Expert
Art is a retired Program Consultant and Manager with MCTU (Ministry of Colleges< Training and Universities). He had previously worked for the Federal Employment/Human Resources Department. Art attended Wilfrid Laurier, for his Honours Business Degree and Althouse College at Western, for his Masters of Education, in Adult Learning. His community development, entrepreneurial development, economic development and labour market work has taken him across the whole of SW Ontario. Art has worked with or helped to establish all of the Small Business Centres, Community Futures Development Corporations and Employment Agencies from Owen Sound to Hamilton to Windsor. Art helped to establish some of the first entrepreneurial training/work programs in Ontario. Examples included a program with the London Small Business Incubator and a Home Daycare program in Guelph. Other firsts included the development of entrepreneurial programs for specific client groups including youth, immigrants and women. Art was also seconded to Ottawa to work on the policy/procedures to establish the SEB process in Ontario. Art brings a questioning mind, years of experience and the desire to create innovative solutions to any situation that he is involved with.
