With the current COVID-19 pandemic, we have compiled a list of the most popular grants for SMEs, non-profits and charities.
Small Business Wage Subsidy
This program allows eligible small businesses, non-profits and charities to apply for up to 75% of wages up to program limits.
Canada Emergency Business Account
This emergency loan program is available to eligible small businesses, non-profits and charities with a maximum of $40,000. Up to $10,000 is eligible forgiveable.
This program is open to eligible Canadian manufacturers who can assist in the fight against COVID-19. Projects of up to $5 Million will be considered.
Canada Emergency Response Benefit
Self-employed individuals may qualify for this benefit, which provides up to $2,000 a month for up to 4 months.
Temporary Work Sharing
This program is designed to prevent layoffs, and allows employers to reduce working hours while employees access EI and training benefits.
Manufacturing Call to Action
This program is meant to connect the Government with Canadian suppliers of items needed in the fight against COVID-19.
Capital Financing & Loans – BDC
These loans are open to eligible businesses and have flexible repayment terms for the first 6 months, up to a limit of $2 Million.
Capital Financing & Loans – EDC
Eligible businesses can qualify for capital and operating loans, from a federal pool of $65 Billion.
Flexible capital and operating financing for eligible farmers; deferral of interest/payments for 6-12 months, with a limit of $500,000.
Call for Suppliers
This program is open to eligible Canadian suppliers of goods and services that can help fight COVID-19.
Digital Technology Supercluster
This program covers up to 100% of eligible expenses for digital technology solutions aimed at combatting COVID-19.
Deferred Business Tax Filing
Filing of corporate tax returns for fiscal 2019 has been delated until August 31.
